KOTAHI BARBELL CLUB

LEARN TO LIFT FEBRUARY 2025

How does it work?

  • The programme runs over 6 weeks, with one 60 minute class each week

  • Weekly on Thursday evenings from 13 February 6-7pm

  • All sessions are coach led, progressing athletes at their own pace

  • There is a maximum of 12 athletes to ensure everyone receives the support and guidance they need!

Who is it for?

  • Those totally new to strength training and barbell work

  • Those with some experience but new to the Olympic Lifts (Snatch and Clean & Jerk)

  • Those with some experience in the lifts seeking to better understand and build technique from the beginning

  • All ages are welcome

What’s included?

  • 6x60 minute sessions

  • Learn the snatch and clean & jerk step by step

  • Cover additional supporting strength, accessory and mobility movements

  • Kotahi Barbell Club t-shirt

  • Lifting (pulling) straps and wrist wraps; helpful accessories to get you started!

What happens after the 6 weeks?

  • We have a range of options to support you with further personal coaching if needed, or joining Kotahi Barbell Club!
